Ioniq 5 Rollaway Issue Caused by Voltage Fluctuations
Hyundai Ioniq 5 owners have reported that their car rolled onto the road even after applying the parking brake. Hyundai revealed that voltage fluctuations surfaced in the electrical componenets, as a result of which a false signal was generated.
This signal would disengage the parking brake momentarily. During this time, the car would roll for some distance. It is very dangerous since there can be some vehicles around.
A shifter control unit (SCU) software update is directed to fix this issue.

Why you should consider
Inspecting Hyundai before Buying?
When it comes to Hyundai cars, numerous issues can arise. To uncover these potential defects, you need an expert mechanic with a deep understanding of the wear and tear of the vehicle. Our mechanics have inspected countless models of Audi vehicles and can identify key areas during the inspection process. below are the top reasons why you should get your Hyundai car inspected before making a purchase, ensuring you save yourself from buying a lemon.
Power loss while driving: This is the most serious issue, and it has been reported by over 30 owners. The power loss can be sudden and complete, and it can be accompanied by a loud popping noise. This has the potential to be a safety hazard, as it can leave drivers stranded on the road.
12-volt battery problems: The 12-volt battery is responsible for powering the Ioniq 5’s electrical system when the main battery is not in use. However, some owners have reported that their 12-volt batteries have failed prematurely. This can cause problems with the infotainment system, the headlights, and other features.
Door handle problems: The Ioniq 5’s door handles are supposed to pop out when you approach the car, but some owners have reported that their door handles are not working properly. This can make it difficult to get into the car, especially if you have your hands full.
Software problems: The Ioniq 5 has been plagued by software problems since its launch. These problems have caused a variety of issues, including the infotainment system freezing, the car not starting, and the battery draining unexpectedly.
Build quality problems: Some owners have reported that their Ioniq 5s have been poorly built. This has led to problems with the paint, the interior trim, and the fit and finish.

Sharp Decline in Power and Acceleration
The sharp decline in power and acceleration is an inherent issue in almost all-electric vehicles (EVs). This is because EVs offer plenty of acceleration and power on wheels due to the lack of transmission lag. However, the power decline is as severe as the power surge.
As a result, drivers who are used to driving conventional cars may feel the extreme power decline on inclined roads and surge on declining roads. To avoid this issue, it is important to keep the acceleration of your car steady on inclined roads. This will help to ensure that the power decline is more gradual and less noticeable. Additionally, you can use the regenerative braking system to help slow down the car without having to use the brakes as much.
